Spring Readathon 2012 :: Hours 1-4

Read-a-Thon bannerFirst readathon update of the day…
I have to say that I’m engrossed in The Art of Fielding and am loving the detailed baseball scenes and language. The author definitely knows his stuff but has the wonderful ability to not make the book sound like an encyclopedia of the game. That’s impressive to me! There are a couple parts of the story that have begun to annoy me, but so far these have not been the primary focus so I’m continuing on. I stopped at a critical point in the story, when the first “big moment” had occurred and is now setting up for the transition into the meat of the novel. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.
