inadvertent accomplishment (#35 of 40 things)

 
When I added #35 to my list of 40 Things I planned to spend a full day in a specific location in Dallas, and when I never made it happen I assumed that would simply be one more thing to push into the future. But now I’ve remembered that I actually did visit a sculpture garden, last summer, on the day I walked among the cattle. It was inadvertent, this garden visit. I just stumbled across a tiny little spot in the middle of a concrete city block, and I collapsed into the shade for no other reason than to escape the heat and prevent the dehydration that was threatening to overtake me. Thankfully, I did recognize where I was, that I was surrounded by art and had a camera in my hand, although I’ve only just realized that those moments qualified as my #35. Funny how things work out.
